When your trips involve hauling kayaks, canoes, or heavy camping gear, these heavy-duty aluminum crossbars give you the strength and stability you can count on. The Rhino-Rack Heavy Duty system supports up to 220 lbs while maintaining a solid feel on long drives. The sturdy aluminum build holds up under load without flexing or shifting, so your gear stays steady from start to finish.
If you like to keep your setup organized and ready for any job, the square bars with top channels make mounting easy. The channels are 1-3/8" wide x 5/8" tall with a 13/16" opening and accept Rhino-Rack contractor-grade accessories like ladder rollers, load stops, and eyebolts. You can slide each piece into place for a clean, secure fit that supports real utility use—whether you’re loading up boats or building materials.
Nobody wants gear rattling on the roof all trip long. The integrated rubber strips in the channels cushion loads and help prevent slip while also keeping wind noise down. It’s a simple design detail that makes a big difference when you’re on the highway or winding through backroads with gear strapped up top.
Once the rack is installed, lockable cover plates on the legs keep it firmly attached to your vehicle and protect against tampering. The 2500 Series legs connect directly to your naked roof with a custom fit kit, giving you a solid base that stays put no matter how far off the grid you go.
From weekend adventures to daily work duty, this setup is designed to last. Crossbars carry a limited lifetime warranty, the legs include a 5-year limited warranty, and the fit kit has its own limited lifetime coverage. That means you get years of dependable performance from components built to handle real use in all kinds of conditions.
